This economy is a bastard on ’Mom and Pop’ operations, but Main Street America celebrated a victory this month when a new meadery opened in the hinterlands of Ossipee, New Hampshire (our librarians checked the maps and confirmed that, indeed, Ossipee, NH is still within the boundaries of America as laid down by our forefathers–or forefather to be more precise, God rest your untarnished soul Thomas Jefferson). Specializing in handcrafted honey-wine goodness with varieties the likes of peach maple and sugar maple, Sap House Meadery has made quite the impression on the staff here at Biased Bohemian. Though the color of the mead is exquisite on its own, Sap House has wrapped their bottles in a marvelous tapestry of colors, hues and sketch – a design more fitting for a frame than the lowly form of a bottle label. But alas, one taste and you will see that this mead is as much a work of art inside the bottle as it is on the outside.
Biased Bohemian is not above supporting the small business owner, despite how misguided the small business owner is when they vote for the Republican Party. Insomuch that we think it is a good idea to stuff all our money in a plastic bag and hand it over to the rich man to blow on cocaine, derivatives and real estate. etc, etc…
You can gather more info I’m sure at Sap House Meadery’s fledgling website, which is here: http://www.saphousemeadery.com/
